Our 2025 Umpire handbook with the Summer Slam supplement should provide most of the information needed to call games in Colts and Minors.  It also includes information on the infield fly rule and dropped third strike which are called in Majors games.  We will also supplement this with guidance on calling balks.

This is the Little League Umpire training course.  It provides the basics on what an Umpire should know, and how they should be positioned in order to properly officiate a game.  All umpires should review these materials.

Hershey Little League is actively seeking umpires to support the upcoming 2025 baseball season! Teen players and adults welcomed. Training will be available. 

If you love baseball and want to have a great time while supporting the next generation of Hershey athletes, please consider registering to be an HLL Umpire today! 

Umpires needed at Majors, Minors and Colts levels. Level determined by age and baseball experience. We would like to have 1-2 Umpires per game and each umpire will earn up to $40/game! 

It is the goal of HLL to provide Umpires for all games, but it's a massive undertaking given conflicts with local travel baseball tournaments.  We are asking the community for help. It's also a great opportunity for the area's Teen players to earn a some extra money while having fun and supporting the town's little league. 

All interested Umpire candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for an Umpire position within the League:

•  Must be 12 years or older (parents’ consent if under 18)  
•  Complete the 2025 Umpire Registration on the League site Umpire Registration Page
•  Non-Youth candidates will undergo all required volunteer background checks as required by Little League International and HLL 
•  Have reliable transportation to area Fields (North/South for Minors). Koons/Gelder Park for Colts 
•  Attend all necessary online and in-person training sessions

This code-of-conduct will apply to all adults on the field in and in the stands. Any violations will be handled immediately by the league adults in attendance.
