At Opening Day 2017, Hershey Little League will be presenting the first annual Wayne Jewell Distinguished Service Award.

Wayne was highly regarded in the HLL community for his selfless service of the children of the Hershey area through his role with Hershey Area Umpires Association, where he served as the head umpire and co-founder of the HAUA.

Recognizing that  "Thank you's" are important, Hershey Little League is presenting an award in his honor. This honor will be received by a member of the HLL community who has served the children and organization as Wayne did...significantly. This could include someone whose volunteer service help contribute to the organization's success, including roles that may not be highly visible but holds extreme value to our baseball community.
